San Marcos is the mecca for yoga, holistic health, massage, meditation, etc. Decidedly non-backpackers arrive with luggage large enough to hold an adult person inside, pieces that would incur hefty airline oversize fees.
San Pedro is known for availability of most any type of stimulant, relaxant, mind expander and items that I've never heard of. Clothing includes tie-dye, sandals, beards and anything else that would make an ex-hippie proud.
