Don't Forget Your Backpack in the Combi Van

Arriving in the maya ruins of Palenque, I jumped out of the van as others were scrambling in. Only as I was buying tickets did I realize that I had left my pack in the van that had already departed. One of the Mexico government  tourism employees who saw the situation got his motorcycle and, with Carson riding on the rear, chased after the van all the way back to town, where Carson spotted the vehicle and recovered my pack containing phone, tablet, money, etc.
